and Fund Fiber Optics to Protect Birds, Children and Communities!
Ask President Obama and Congress to protect our migratory birds (and our health) from dangerous exposures to microwave radiation from communication towers before it is too late!
Human health studies have documented a host of health problems related to exposure to microwave radiation from communication towers. Human health problems resulting from exposure to microwave radiation from wireless technology can include: poor sleep quality, insomnia, headaches, skin rash, facial flushing, cardiac arrhythmia, seizures, neurological disorders, memory and cognitive problems, nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, and Alzheimer's disease to name a few (www.electricalpollution.com, www.stopsmartmeters.org). Modern studies showing harm from microwave radiation emitting wireless technology build on the strong foundation of thousands and thousands of earlier studies also showing harm. Department of Interior denied the request of the National Telecommunication and Information Administration (NTIA) for a categorical exclusion for their program, FirstNet, from the regulations protecting migratory birds. In their reply, they stated that NTIA-FirstNet would have negative impacts on migratory birds in two ways - "The first is by injury, crippling loss, and death from collisions with towers and their supporting guy-wire infrastructure, where present." - "The second significant issue associated with communication towers involves impacts from non- ionizing electromagnetic radiation emitted by these structures." (http://emfsafetynetwork.org/us-department-of-the-interior-warns-communication-towers-threaten-birds/) NTIA-FirstNet would blanket the United States with a network of communication towers spewing microwave radiation on a near continuous basis across the whole country. This would be highly detrimental to migratory birds, bees, bats, butterflies, frogs, and people. Trees can also be damaged by microwave radiation from telecommunication towers. Plant growth experiments performed by Danish 9th grade students and repeated by a second grader in Michigan yielded stunning results and show in a very visual manner that plant growth can be severely impaired by the pulsed modulated microwave radiation from WiFi. All this harm is unnecessary and could cause lasting environmental damage before the plug is pulled if people like you don't stand up and ask for a halt. NTIA-FirstNet is an unnecessary industry-influenced government program, masquerading as a first responder network. Both first responders and communities deserve a safe communication network emitting the minimum of radiation. FirstNet does not meet this criteria and would endanger migratory birds, the environment, our health, and first responders' health. Genuine concern for first responders’ ability to communicate in emergencies is being used as a cover to support installation of a dangerous communication system and to allow telecom companies to blanket the nation in microwave radiation. Microwave radiation emitting wireless is the slowest, least reliable, most hackable, energy intensive, and dangerous way to deliver internet service. Fiber optic is the fastest internet service and most of the rest of the developed world has fiber optic internet available at almost all homes and offices (premises). Why are we spending money and sacrificing our environment and health to support installation of this slow, unreliable, hackable, energy hogging, and dangerous system?
